Once again Democrats are complaining that Donald Trump’s rhetoric reminds them of another political outsider of German descent who wanted complete control and we’re not talking about Walt Disney. Here’s Howard Kurtz asking The Donald about some Stürmer-style statements he made about immigrants:
Howard Kurtz: Why do you use words like ‘vermin’ and ‘poisoning of the blood’? The press as you know immediately reacts to that with “well, that’s the kind of language Hitler and Mussolini used.”
Trump: Well, that’s what they say, I didn’t know that but that’s what they say. Because our country is being poisoned. Look, and we can be nice about it, we can talk about do we want to be politically correct…

Speaking of bodily fluids, also last weekend Trump said there would be “a bloodbath” if he were not reelected, and that immigrants were “not people.” Is this just what the New York Times calls Trump’s “freewheeling” stump speech style, or is it a thinly-veiled demagogic appeal to racial purity and fascist dictatorship?
