Fuck you: A Disquisition
I have had it with these motherfucking skanks in this motherfucking country
Jen O’Malley Dillon, President-elect Joe Biden’s campaign manager and incoming White House deputy chief of staff, walked back comments she made in a recent interview suggesting that congressional Republicans were “a bunch of f---ers.”
The mea culpa came in a virtual conversation Thursday with veteran Democratic operatives Stephanie Cutter and Teddy Goff, during which O’Malley Dillon acknowledged she “used some words that I probably could have chosen better” when speaking with author Glennon Doyle for a Glamour magazine interview published Tuesday.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Every fucking year it’s the same shit.
Like in 2018 when Sarah Sanders, primary lie dispenser for Donald Trump, got politely asked to leave a restaurant as her presence was making decent people want to puke, and Kirstjen Nielsen, She-Wolf of the Department of Homeland Security, encountered in another restaurant the remonstrances of citizens opposed to her child torture policies, and thence, as I reported in the Village Voice, ensued endless conservative blubbering about how liberals are [balls up fists, rubs them over his eyes] so tewibbwy, tewibbwy uncivil.
Never mind that both these human crapsicles were prominent members of a crime syndicate using torture, drones, strong-arm tactics, and Goebbels-level propaganda to destroy the country (presumably at the behest of foreign dictators) and enrich the fat goon in charge. Never mind that said fat goon was no Emily Goddamn Post himself, calling his opponents — from a Times account — “‘wacky,’ ‘crazy,’ ‘goofy,’ ‘mentally deranged,’ ‘psycho,’ ‘sleazy’ and ‘corrupt,’” and calling for them to be thrown into prison.
(But oh, some pedantic motherfucker must be saying, he never swore. Sure he swore — he called places black people lived “shithole countries,” remember that? And he pumps out the curses in his public appearances, too, what the fuck are you talking about, go fuck yourself.)
And yet conservatives are constantly weeping and wailing over some Democrat who looked cross-eyed at them. This goes way back — here for example is that meretricious bint Sarah Palin in 2009, responding when President Obama had the temerity to refute her Obamacare death-panels bullshit: “He called these concerns 'bogus,' 'irresponsible,' and 'a lie' — so much for civility.”
So much for civility? Bitch said Obama was killing people! Not by accident, on purpose! He would have been justified going to her see-Russia-from-my-house and hitting it with a flame-thrower. But he just went on being classy and getting reelected while girlfriend quit her job and took her freakshow on the road to soak the rubes.
Occasionally the mainstream press notices the disparity — like Minnesota’s MinnPost, which in 2018 headlined after George H.W. Bush's funeral, “In victory for civility, Trump avoids insulting dead president.” And good for them! But while mainstream media has sort of tumbled to Tubby’s disgustingness, now that Biden is about to be president, just like whenever any Democrat gets into power, suddenly it’s Goofus and Gallant time. Get a load of Sarah Sanders’ replacement at the shit-shoveling trough, Kayleigh McEnany:
The word is “fuckers,” you truth-twisting, democracy-disgracing piece of shit.
And by the way, I’m well aware that rightwing civility shtick is gender-neutral — for a classic male wingnut civility bleat, here’s ass-faced dickwad John Fund’s 2013 honest-to-God-it’s-called “‘Why Are Liberals So Rude to the Right?’” (“In liberal-comic world no slur is too slimy, whether it’s old cracks about Reagan having Alzheimer’s his entire life or new ones about Sarah Palin being a ‘moosehead’”). And there are a lot of cock-bearing douchebags in this other Voice essay of mine about conservatives claiming that when liberals made the fair claim that Republican Obamacare repeal was literally going to lead to premature deaths, they were not only being uncivil but also trying to get Republicans killed (“IN HEALTH CARE ATTACKS, DEMOCRATS RISK INCITING FURTHER VIOLENCE”).
But whenever there’s a high-profile Liberal Crime Against Decorum to exploit, the conservative brain trust prefers to send women out to complain, hoping any answering-back will look double-uncivil because, durr hurr, you libtards are s’pposed to be feminists, right?
Fuck that. I don’t care if it’s a female asshole rather than a male asshole who’s being an asshole. It doesn’t matter to me whether the soul-crippled scumbag is Betsy DeVos or Wilbur Ross; the honorific “cunt” suits either equally well. Besides, you never once saw any of these scumbags rush chivalrously to the defense of Hillary Clinton when Tubby was stalking her on stage and bragging how he was going to put her in jail.
So fuck that noise. Dillon shouldn’t back down. She should go on TikTok, put her palms out and go “Bitch, what?” Biden should step and tell “my Republican friends” they should “eat a dick.” Democrats should for one, maybe two news cycles exclusively refer to every Republican officeholder as “the distinguished fucker.”
I keep going back to that Sarah Sanders thing, and how it was contemporaneous with a conservative laughing fit over how liberals took the caging of immigrant children so seriously. From my essay at the time:
Some conservatives... acted as if crying children, if they were of the wrong color and immigration status, were simply hilarious. Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski reacted to news of a disabled child’s separation with a comedy sound effect [“womp womp!”]. Others put up pictures of children crying in less dire circumstances and made snotty remarks. “Here are pictures of the government ripping apart mothers and children on the first day of school,” quipped Seth Barron of City Journal. “The psychological trauma could last forever.” Ben Shapiro posted a picture of a crying kid at a baseball game and added, “I can’t believe this crying child was separated from his parents by President Trump.”
And these fuckers are mad people who want to reverse that policy called them “fuckers”? Man, fuck them.
Some of us remember Louie Gohmert calling AOC a "fucking bitch" to her face in front of reporters. Oddly, this produced no real outrage among the press or other Republicans.
Some of us remember Dick Cheney telling Senator Patrick Leahy "go fuck yourself" on the floor of the Senate. Oddly, this produced no real outrage among the press or other republicans.
Some of us remember Donald Trump on live national TV talking about Megan Kelly having "blood coming out of her wherever" while he called her "too emotional." Oddly and etc.
Some of us remember the Trump campaign "unofficially" adopting "Fuck Your Feelings" as its 2020 campaign slogan (and actually producing bumper stickers, window sticks, t-shirts, and hats with that slogan). Oddly and etc.
But it's always and forever the Democrats who are just soooooo uncivil, who must--simply MUST--reach out to Republicans, understand Republicans, compromise and accommodate.
Ah yes, the return of Stop Being Rude While We Kill People whining by conservatives. As predictable as the sun rising in the morning.
The conservative calls for civility, like their renewed concern about the deficit, is the surest sign they’ve finally accepted Biden’s victory.
