So this and yesterday are like Roy trying out for channeling whoever may win 2020 assuming, I suppose, that if defeated Crooked Donnie will honor the result and leave office which per Dersh and unified POTUS theory or whatever it’s called he doesn’t have to do as long as he says in his opinion it’s better for the nation if he stays.

BLOOMBERG: By the way, you didn't see a fez.

PEREZ: What fez?

Another masterful job, Roy. Bloomberg has the same appeal for some Democrats Michael Avenatti had (remember him?): Bloomberg goes right at Trump with guns blazing. I hate Bloomberg with a passion, but the other candidates should try it. More people are fed up than Trump’s approval numbers reflect. And stop worrying about ruffling MAGA feathers, they live in a state of perpetual fury already.

Warren has pledged to prosecute the criminals in the [former] Trump administration when she's president. I'd say that counts for a lot more than Avenatti's bullshit or Bloomberg's ads.

Bloomberg's going to debate? Might this be a first for him? He's always let his money do the debating, I believe. Roy does bring up an interesting point-- how much are the questioners going to let his money guide their questioning. "If he's rich, he must be good."

You had me at the fez. The mental image is hilarious. I expect that he couldn't resist a chance to lay some primo billionaire Spanish on a son of Dominican immigrants, too. Like a toast in that "Potemkin Cadillac commercial" tone Fred Armisen has down: "Sah-loot, ah-more, eee puh-settas, moo-cho moo-cho puh-settas, eee no aye tee-empo parra gastar so mucho puh-settas, comprenday Senor?"

I’m just an old Army brat and not a New Yorker, and I gotta say (with delight!) that there seems to be enough untapped ill will towards Bloomberg to fill a fleet of garbage scows... please don’t stop

You can't tell by the fawning media coverage he gets (unsurprisingly) but he was a shitty mayor. Not just stop+frisk but also helping to make the city much livable for the natives.

Worse: With the exclusion of Sanders and Warren, he's not especially worse than the rest of the worthless schmucks.

Bloomberg and Drumpf are a double-sided coin though the former doesn't drool shit.

Who might be a good DNC chair? Is there anyone who could make Bloomberg cry? Even if it's only here at Breaks It Down....

The DNC is worthless so the question is pointless.

The DNC for decades has only wanted to get some of the fine graft the GOP gets from their special interests. The Dem base is something else entirely but the DNC hasn't cared about them since at least Slick Willy, probably before that.

Another echo of John Beresford Tipton and Michael Anthony in "The Millionaire." "Mike, there's a Dominican who's gotten himself in over his head at the DNC. Here's a cashier's check for a millionaire dollars, tax free."

Seems like a joke that a former Republican mayor is running as a Democrat for president. I thought only the rank and vile GOP dumb enough to fall for a scam like that!
