Watched CODA last night, and I pretty much agree 100% with your take on it. Thing is, I'm 51 years old. CODA is a great movie for young people (maybe ages 10-20). I'm happy that good films for young people—especially young women—exist, and I rooted along with the film regardless of the Hallmark aspects. I rolled my eyes a few times, but... it's a great flick for kids. I mean that in a sincere, genuine way. Especially considering so much of the garbage Hollywood makes for young people.

The Oscars could ratchet it up with ads on par with Super Bowl. I know that's like the tail wagging the dog but if anyone can do it, Hollywood can!

Hey, next year, I suggest you establish a separate feed on Twitter or some other platform for a group to interact in real time. I'd participate. With the right run-up, it could be good.

Ugh, what a disgrace. Next year it'll be some comic-book movie. I've lived too long!
