I've got a couple of these on DVD they are impressive. The Iceman Cometh is one of my favorite plays and Marvin is adequate in it but the supporting actors I think are incredible. At any rate that's my opinion. It gave me a chance to see great O"Neal which I probably wouldn't have had otherwise.
Thanks, Roy. Now I just have to add Kanopy to my subscriptions and I'll have yet another excuse to avoid watching Game of Thrones. I remember seeing Hirshfeld's caricature of Mostel in the Sunday NYT (4 or 5 Nina's I think) and asking to go see the play. I was allowed to go downtown to try to score cheap matinee seats (remember those?) but had no luck. I hated the movie version and decided Rhinoceros had been grossly overpraised. Maybe this version will balance that out, 50+ years later.
Not to insult the actual topic of the piece, but I've never read Tom Jones. I just read the Partridge At Hamlet link. Is the whole book that funny? If so, I envy myself the opportunity to finally read it.
I have an odd memory of seeing The Man in the Glass Booth when I was pretty young but there's no way it showed at my local movie house. Was it ever shown on television?

Theatr(e) is the original and correct spelling.
Really want to watch the Ionesco. Thanks for this, Roy! Looking forward to tomorrow!
