Speaking of being banned from Twitter: Yesterday I posted an obviously facetious tweet, informing someone that my right to swing my fist ended at his nose, at which point began my right to punch him in the nose, his right to be punched in the nose by me, etc. Twitter threw me in jail for my trouble. I appealed, and said that the fact that I was joking would have been obvious to everyone except an idiot or an algorithm. The appeal was denied.
They said I could get out if I deleted the tweet. Which I did, but apparently I still can't post for six days. Which is fine, but still: What's the "deal"? Anyone here have this experience?
What will it take for conservatives to bite the bullet and allow as how there should be social media platforms run as government-run utilities to which the First Amendment actually _would_ apply?
(I know, I know, it would probably be a Kirk/Computer situation whenever they started to think seriously about it—except for the no-shit-really-are-National-Socialist types and the Trad Catholics, though of course they'd want Other People banned on them from the start.)
