"You know, I think maybe Netanyahu's policies might not be the best option for . . ."
"Wow! I had no idea you're such an antisemite! I guess you're disappointed Hitler didn't get a chance to finish the job."
"Huh? Wha? Antisemitic?!?!? I Jewish!"
"Oh, one of those self-loathing Jews, huh? Must be, 'cause if you disagree with Netanyahu, the only reason is because you hate the Jews. Hey! Where you goin'? Come back here!"
Ah, but that only *proves* they're bad Jews--criticizing their own government when they should be all in for the big win! And by "big win," I mean "the death and/or immiseration of anyone who so much as looks at them in a funny way."
(Aside to note that I support Israel--I just want to do so without giving sanction to authoritarian paranoia.)
God, this takes me back. Hopefully it doesn't lead to a resurgence in the Pam Geller/David Horowitz/etc. crowd's popularity. I've been tempted to peek back in at FrontPageMag or one of their other redoubts and see if anyone's gotten any less crazy lately, but I don't have the stomach for it. I think Nietzsche had something to say on the subject--gazing into the abyss and all that.
They haven't gotten any less crazy. I somehow got on the Middle East Forum mailing list, and get daily missives from the likes of Daniel Pipes. Yeah, they're still bug-nuts crazy.
Gomer Hitler is a hootenanny dandy and our Pammy is dutifully grotesque but they don't reach the menacing depth of the White House follies. Thank goodness.

(This gathering of the Blut und Boden Partei (BBP) sponsored by BP America.)
America and Israel must stick together because they have so much in common: openly corrupt heads of state with a wall fixation.
Yeah this. And we're at the "Whaddaya gonna do about it?!?" stage.
Sorry, as Steve King said, the name of the country is Judaism not Israel.
As I said elsewhere, friggin' Ha'aretz is allowed to criticize the Israeli government more than American citizens.

I figured. What do you think the ratio of true believers to greedy fear-mongers is among them?
