Yesterday, Mrs. Derelict and I flew to the tiny municipal airport in Gardner, MA. After poking around the empty airport, we climbed back in our little airplane to fly back home. We had to wait for a bit while another airplane came in to land. I watched in awe as a really ratty Cessna 150 touched down and rolled past us on the runway. On the tail of this thing, the owner had taped foot-high letters "MAGA." On both sides of the nose was a caricature-style sticker of Donald Trump. Along the fuselage just above the registration numbers was "BUILD THE WALL."
I cannot believe a functioning adult would festoon their aircraft with such shit. But, then, he's a MAGA man, so both "functioning" and "adult" are questionable.
National media now pivoting to talking about the police response in Uvalde ‘cause we need to blame someone besides the gun profiteers and ammosexuals. The NRA convention should have been treated like NAMBLA or the National Necrophilia Association.

Trump reading the names of the Robb school victims complete with tolling bells AT AN NRA CONFERENCE has to be one of the more obscene post-massacre moments of all time. Almost as bad as his thumbs-up photo-op at the El Paso medical center with the infant just orphaned by a white supremacist inspired by Trump himself.

He saw photos of the shooting victims, and one of them bore an uncanny resemblance to one of his own grandchildren. And that's all it took. We're still working on what to do with the AR-15 owners who don't have grandchildren, or do have grandchildren who, unfortunately, do not resemble recent school-shooting victims, but baby steps, right?
